We persisted in making many enjoyable contacts with other Telephone Pioneers plus non-pioneers as well. The bonus points for working non-pioneers and spreading the word about pioneering showed up in the scores.
The final score equaled the QSO and chapter totals (i.e. Digital, CW and Phone QSOs added together), multiplied by the Digital, CW and Phone Chapters added together.
Then we tightened up the spread in the suggested frequencies. One of the perils of old age is that systems fail. I am losing my central vision due to Age Related Macular Degeneration.
The loss does not affect my regular lifestyle, but it does affect my use of the computer.
Therefore, I am dropping my role as Coordinator of the TPQSO Party. John Krupsky, WA5MLF, has kindly stepped forward and will be the new Coordinator. Please give John your continued support.
Thanks to all who have participated and supported the Telephone Pioneer QSO Party in years past. I appreciate your help and co-operation.
The general consensus was the changes continue to be better particularly getting away from the weekend QRM.
73 and see you on the air,
Jim N6TP
